Gay Lesbian Parent Teacher Student Association of Greater Puget Sound

HISTORY! The first "official" gay PTA in the United States has formed here in Washington, with the complete support of the Washington State PTA. Susan Carmel, a board member of PFLAG Seattle is the proud PTA president, and several other PFLAG people are among the founding members.

Meetings will be held at 7p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. The GLPTSA is not just a Seattle organization; it hopes to have members statewide. The organization's goal is to attract members (be they old, young, lesbian, gay, bi, transgendered, straight) who want to contribute to the well-being of GLBT members of school communities.
